Even as an adult, there is nothing that I love more than a Snow Day. The excitement of waking up, listening to the radio to hear if you have to get up and continue on your daily routine, or if we can stay home, recharge our batteries, and get an extra day in our lives. Snow Days almost actually feel like you've been given an additional day on earth, it's like a wish granted by a genie.
Whenever I get a day like this, I always feel compelled to use it to clean up my apartment, to take advantage of this spare day to try to get things back in order, without the pressure of the everyday chaos. Now, for those who don't have things to take care of, Snow Days are just another spare day to enjoy. They go back to sleep for a few hours, then wake up, snuggle up in front of the tv and watch Netflix all day, sipping hot cocoa and appreciating all that they have. For those of us who are on their grind, these days are like getting an extra life in a video game: you have to make every one count for as much as you can.
No photo or video today. I do unfortunately have to go to my part-time job (they unfortunately are not on the Federal gov't closure schedule), so I'd better get a move on. There're bound to be some delays. I just hope that I can make it there on time. And hope that I get back home ok too.
