Ok, so my friend Steven showed me this video that Rod 2.0 posted on his blog the other day, and I have to say, I loved it. I mean, you can look at this guy and say, wow, this boy is FLAMING for doing this, or why the hell would he disgrace the diva that is Beyonce by making this video and posting it online, but I say for one thing, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And second of all, this boy is GOOD! I mean, he did all the moves, and did them well. His costume is so unique, and I am sure that he made that shit himself. There are many things that people can say about gay people, but one thing that they will NEVER be able to say is that we are not creative beings. My friends and the other amazing people that I know are all unique, creative, and know how to get their shit done when they really need to. They can express themselves and not be bashful about it when they want to. I love them, and the world should too. So, I just wanted to give a shout out to this boy, for doing what he does, and doing it so well. People are so quick to comment on something that someone else does, yet we don't praise them on their courage and fortitude nearly as much. I think that it's time that we stop looking at one another with judgments and prejudice, we need to just keep on affirming and encouraging each other so that we all find the emotional strength to reach our full potential. Because if we keep knocking people down for doing what they love, who knows what gifts we are helping to be kept from the world. Let the hate leave and let the love in. (I know that I got a little soap box-y at the end, but in the words of B Scott, "Something just kicked up in my spirit."
